STANLEY McKAY’S NEW GAIETIES
VAUDEVILLE & REVUE FOR TE PUKE, APRIL 18th
Stanley McKay’s New Gaieties vaudeville and revue companv, which is having successful seasons throughout New Zealand, is to be at the Uapitol Theatre, Te Puke, on Tuesday, April 18th. Each year Mr McKay comes to New Zealand bringing the cream of vaudeville and review artists, and his present combination is the best lie has ever had the pleasure of organising. The comedy, a most important factor in a revue show, is "entrusted to Stan Foley, Australia’s most versatile fun-maker, and Alex McKinnon, the clever little dancing Scotchman. Assisting them in the many up-to-the-minute sketches, are Dolly Donoughoe, Max Reddy, and the brilliant personality girl, Stella Lamond. As usual with Mr McKay’s companies, the specialities are of a most outstanding nature, and include the amazing juggling act of George Hurd, the acknowledged successor to Paul Cinquivali.
Others in the large cast of principals are v ,Nellie Kolle, famous male impersonator V San Remos Bros., matchless hand balancers ; Assam, Pekoe, Souchon and Congo, crazy acrobatic clowns ; Stella Collier, soprano ; Barry Ross, baritone : Gerry Keogh, acrobatic dancer ; and Snowy Towers, mimic of screen stars. The Gaiety beauty ballet, May Brooke’s Orchestra, beautiful dressing, and the latest in staging are features of the production. Seat may be reserved at Veitch’s Scotch House.
