Mr Eric Steevens, of the staff of the local branch of the Bank of Australasia, has been transferred to Auckland. Constable Jackson is at present on holiday leave, his duties being undertaken by Constable Moore of Tauranga. Mr W. Turner, of Tauranga, who recently won, for the second year in succession, the New Zealand Singles Sculling Championship was, with his fellow oarsman, Mr C. Hana, welcomed on his return to Tauranga by the local citizens. The resignation of Mr E. H. district inspector in Education District, i^Wnounced. Mr J. Murray, assistant master at the Te Puke District High School, has tendered his resignation.
