Education Board accepting A. 1 ‘ Oden’s, tender for the conveyance of children to and from the quarry W% for a period of two years, f- ‘ Inspectors’ reports upon the various schools within the Com- . .V ■ mittee’a jurisdication were read * v and proved of a satisfactory nat.v■■ ure with the exception of a clause to the* effect that various repairs ; were required at No 2 School. ~ Mr Urquhart stated that if . ' sufficient encouragement were , ■r ; forthcoming commercial classes V would shortly be instituted at the : High School to enable those desir- ' ous of so doing to learn short- , hand, type-writing and book-keep-,ing.
