February 23, 1920, Second Rotorua Association Tournament. * * • The entries for the Auckland Centre's Tournament close on Decern bei 15 the Dominion Championship on December 12, and Rotorua, January 17, 1920. * » * Mr. Bryden is the Auckland Centre's secretary. Mr. Wood the Dominion, while Mr. G. Hunt, has the piloting of the Rotorua Tournament. © ® ® Rotorua Tournament. There are conditions covering the tournament in Rotorua. that render it necessary for intending competitors to decide early their intentions of competing. In past years the visit to the Thermal regions has always proved attractive, but owing to excessive entries, and the limited number of greens for play, many intending competitors have been excluded from competing. In order to overcome any disappointment arising this season, two tournaments have been arranged, and the entry limited to 55 teams. * * * Teams may enter for either or both tournaments*. In the case of teams nominating for both tournaments, the following proviso will operate:— Entry No. 1 will be accepted unconditionally (provided nomination is received in time), but if the necessity arises, the entry for tournament No. 2, will have to cede preference in favour of teams who have not nominated for the No.l tournament. The entries will be accepted according to priority of receipt. All entries must state clearly whether, they are intended for number one or number two, or both, or optional, as to which tournament it is allotted. In the latter case immediate advice will be fowarded indicating to which tournament the entry has been allotted. * * * It must be noted the entries for both tournaments close at the same time or on receipt of the required number of entries. * * * Another matter of importance is that of securing accommodation, and bowlers are warned that upon receipt of advice of the entry, the necessary hotel arrangements should be made. $ SS> 9> Dominion Championships. The dates and matches are set down to start as follows:— Pairs.—Thursday, January 8. Rinks.—Monday, January 12. Singles.—Friday, January 16. Entry fees must accompany entries for all tournaments.

The draw for the third series of Pennant Matches is as follows:— Section A. , Carlton 16, v. Onehunga 12, Epsom 4. Devonport 8, Epsom 8, v. Dominion Road 12 and Avondale 4. Mt. Eden 16 v. Grey Lynn 6, Rawhiti 6, Edendale 4. Devonport plays Dominion Road 6, Avondale 2 . Epsom plays Dominion Road 6, Avondale 2. * * * Section B. Ponsonby 16, v. Auckland 16. Rocky Nook 8, St. Heliers 4, Takapuna 4, v. Remuera 16. West End 12, Mt. Albert 4, v. Otahuhu 6, Waitemata 6, PapatoeWest End plays Otahuhu 4, Waitemata 4. Papatoetoe 4, and Mt. Albert plays Otahuhu 2, Waitemata 2.
