A doctor's solemn warning: This is a warning to flappers. A girl who had made a practice of hiding herself behind a wall of rouge and face powder was attacked during the night by a mosquito. Her mask having disappeared down the drain after a "before going to bed" wash she was left unarmed. The night raider bit her. The dawn of the next day saw her face with a swelling. The next night she unconsciously scratched the bite. The morrow saw her with a hasty mark on her face. The next night she was going to a danco, and she covered the sore with face powder to hide it. The next week she died of blood poisoning. That is what those ghostly powdered flappers who invade our tearooms will come to if they do not take care.
