Quite a large turn-out at the Putaruru social the other night... L H did a big spoon with the girl in pink. .It was too bad of AB to upset M's soup and cut him out. Two girls ought to be enough for you, A. ..Tirau forwards played a good game in the corner... Big entries have been received up to date for the matrimonial stakes. The gates, etc., sold well; brisk bidding for the refreshment booth. Tbe O M hears J P and Co were the buyers.. Who was the young man who was trying to pile it on with A S while E M was absent ? Too bad, W Mc, to make the. young lady blush. ..Who is the young man who brought a pair of pants to the social. The O M would like to borrow a pair if you could lend them, T R. .What is the attraction for W Aat Waimakeriri fishery ? What kind of fish he is trying to catch r Is it W S ?... Who was the young lady who said she would like S W as a pet in a cage, as she was fond of parrots ? I hear A S and W S enjoyed their ride home, though the morning was cold.
