Among the passengers who left by the Tasmania on Monday were Messrs Gilbert and James H. MacKay sons of the recently deceased Capt. R. MacKay. They were summoned by cable from Australia to their father's death-bed, and arrived in time to see the last of him. Mr. Gilbert MacKay was formerly in tne employ of Mr. Thos. Steadman, seedsman, but for more than ten years past has been settled down at Adelaide. Mr. James H. MacKay is in business at Mount Zeehan, Tasmania, and is also doing well:

The Hibernian Society's sports and Art Union, in the Domain Cricket ground on "Wednesday next, offer great attraction to the citizens who intend to devote themselves to recreation on St Patrick's Day (Wednesday next). A capital programme of sports has been compiled, the entries are large, and the Art Union prizes embrace a piano, bicycle, suite of furniture, and a Jady's gold watch, besides fully a hundred others.
