BOMBAY
The O.M. is on the prowl once again. The young ladies of Bombay are very anxious to fmd out who. the O.M. is.. . Our local footballers had a great match the other Saturday, the lower end of the sstfcleaent playing the upper end. The lowc: end won by 15 points to nil. The lower end's full-back played a splendid ga-ue, his kicking was very good with his bare feet, E.F. also played a good game. W.W. made a splendid run for the upper end getting nearly through but was brought to the ground by J.F. Little T.B. of Pokeno played a very good game but his knees always seemed to come in the way, you should put your knees in your pocket or else give up footballing T.. .Some of our young folks at the dance the other Saturday night after the football match got very lively. Had the rain anything to do with it ?. .When are AS. and F.P.H. going to tie the knot ? The O.M. is waiting very patiently for he expects a piece of the cake. . . What is wrong with E.F. and D.B. now ? They hardly ever speak. J.S. looks very down-hearted lately, is it because C.Y. has gone to Wellington '?. .What will the young ladies of Bombay and Maketu do now, that our great local masher has gone to the Waikato?. .S.J.B. and H.S. are shaping very well. Get the tin cans ready boys. . . How is it that F.D. does not attend the Maketu dances now as regularly as he used to ? Is it because L. S. has left Maketu ? . . A certain young lady of Maketu says that little J.P. is the most stylish little masher that comes from Bombay to the dance of a Saturday night, but she says if he would wear a bell he would be far more noticed...J.W. is doing the heavy with B.J. now.. .They say J.B. has been to town fixiug things up for the wedding. The O.M. hopes they will be happy and remember to send him a piece of the cake.. .W. of Paparata, says things are very dull without a girl to look after him. Keep believing W. your show is the young ones growing up.. . W.A. and S.C. are starting young. They seem to be piling it on with the Misses CA. Sort of partnership you know. . . Some of our fellows have the gold fever.
