City Council Elections.

The elections on Tuesday last resulted in the return v of Mr Courtney for Ponsonby Ward, Mr Beecrof fc being close up, and Mr W. B. White for Grafton, with Mr Garlick a good second. Probably, Messrs Beecroft and Garlick mil both make a future fight of it, when their present friends and new supporters, will, no doubt, ensure greater success for them. Mrs Endean has no reason to feel discouraged. She has a good example before her m Mrs Matson who was twice defeated for Parnell, but has at last vanquished her opponents by heading the poll m that borough.
