BOMBAY.

A social in connection with the Bombay Football "Club was held in the Bombay Hall on Thursday, September 24th, when despite the bad state of the weather a good number of both ladies and gentlemen were in attendance. The principal dresses worn by the ladies were as follows —Mrs Worden, black cashmere ; Miss M. Strong, white, red trimmings ; Miss J. Sharp, white and bjue ; Miss J. Brownhill, white ; Miss Wilson, white and red ; Miss Perry, blue and white; Miss E. Perry, white aatin with pink trimmings ; Miss Pickard, black : Miss L. Evans, white ; Miss A. Piggott. white and red ; Miss Brownhill, white with blue trimmings. During the evening a few songs were ably rendered by Messrs Worder, Andrews, Hawke and Finley. Dancing was kept up till the wee hours. The honours of the eveni ng wer.p unanimously given to Miss B. Perry, who without doubt looked very becoming.
