JiEGATTA PEOGEAMME: Ist Eace— For Punts not over 21ft. in length, and not less than 22ft. on bottom. 2nd Eace— Amateur Skiffs. No restrictions as to boats. 3rd Eace— Open Sailing Boats, not exceeding 21ft. on keel ; with or without centreboards. 4th Eace — Four - oared Gigs, rowed on gunwale. Entries for this race to close 12th November, 1881 ; o liono. fide gigs to start or no race. First Prize, £40. sth Eace — Yachts not exceeding 30ft. on keel; open sailing boats excluded, 6th Eace — Pair-oared Gigs, not over 21ft. in length; rowed on gunwale ;no housing ; with or without coxswains. "Tit Eace — Maori Punts; double - hand ; breadth of bottom to be not less than 22in., and not exceeding- 21ft. in length. Bth Eace— Champion Scullers' Eace. No restrictions whatever as to boats. 9th Eace — Youths (under 16 years); two pullers and coxswain. Boats to be not over 21ft. on keel j rowed on gunwale. 10th Eace — Double - handed Punts. ATHLETIC SPORTS: Ist Event— Qnoit Match. 2nd „ Maiden Race of 150 yds. 3rd „ Vaulting with Pole. 4th „ Handicap Race of 150 yds: sth Standing High Jump. 6th „ Putting the Stone. 7th Handicap Race of 300 yds. Bth „ Running High Jump. 9th Boys' Race (under 14 years). 10th „ Handicap Race of 440 yds. 11th „ Sack Ruce. 12th „ Three-legged Race, loth One Mile Handicap. 14th „ Hop, Step, and Jump, loth Throwing the Hammer. 16th „ Handicap Hurdle Race of 440 yds. 17thj Wheelbaraow Race. The Committee reserve to themselves the right of altering the above Programme or changing the sequence of the Races. A Prize will be given to the best-dressed athlete on the ground; also a Special Prize to the runner who I shall score the greatest number of points in the foot races, the Maiden Race excluded.
