No restrictions as to boats. 3rd Eace— Open Sailing Boats, not exceeding 21ft. on keel ; with or without centreboards. 4th Eace — Four - oared Gigs, rowed on gunwale. Entries for this race to close 12th November, 1881 ; o liono. fide gigs to start or no race. First Prize, £40. sth Eace — Yachts not exceeding 30ft. on keel; open sailing boats excluded, 6th Eace — Pair-oared Gigs, not over 21ft. in length; rowed on gunwale ;no housing ; with or without coxswains. Bth „ Running High Jump. 9th „ Boys' Race (under 14 years). 10th „ Handicap Race of 440 yds. 11th „ Sack Ruce. 12th „ Three-legged Race, loth „ One Mile Handicap. 14th „ Hop, Step, and Jump, loth „ Throwing the Hammer. 16th „ Handicap Hurdle Race of 440 yds. 17thj „ Wheelbaraow Race. The Committee reserve to themselves the right of altering the above Programme or changing the sequence of the Races. A Prize will be given to the best-dressed athlete on the ground; also a Special Prize to the runner who I shall score the greatest number of points in the foot races, the Maiden Race excluded.
