I know a suitor fair to see, Take care, take care ! He seeks thy vote to diddle tliee, Beware, beware I Trust him not, he's fooling thee, Beware, beware ! He goes so nice about the town, Take care, take care ! He only means to do you brown, Beware, beware ! Trust him not, he's fooling thee, Beware, beware! He looks so modest and so glum, Take care, take care ! He wants that honorarium, Beware, beware ! He has a shirt front white as snow,, Take care, take care ! He wants a fat portfolio, Beware, beware ! He gives thee promises so fair, Take care, take care ! He'll sell you when he gets down there, Beware, beware ! Trust him not, he's fooling thee, Beware, beware ! He shakes thy hand and looks so kind, Take care, take care ! He's got an axe he wants to grind, Beware, beware ! Trust him not, he's fooling thee, Beware, beware !
