Bylong was put up to Auction on Wednesday with, his engagements, and passed in at one hun- ' dred and twenty-five guineas* There is no betting here,. but the course is in splendid condition. I fancy the Slander filly or Tartar for the Wanganui Stakes, and Angler or Monk for the Hurdles. The trotter, Our Pony, has almost recovered from the injury she received through bolting the other day. The filly was working on the course on Wednesday morning. Angler was put up by auction, and. passed in on Wednesday. Morning Star was sold in Napier for one hundred and twenty pounds to Dan Page. He is in Gisborne now.
