IMPORTANT NOTICE.
A mimber of subscribers interested in the Prize drawings have written to us suggesting tliat the money devoted to this purpose sliould be expended in a number of small prizes worth— say from £10 to 5s instead of in one or two valuable articles. They point out with some reason that the number of drawers is very large (being almost invariably over 3S00), and that the chances of winning one valuable prize is very small, wherens if there were 30 or 40 it would be much larger. The next series of prizes will therefore be conducted on this basis, and in order to make them especially valuable, we shall allow the prize money set aside every Saturday to accumulate for a few weeks. It must, however, be thoroughly understood that all forthcoming prizedrawings are intended solely for the benefit of regular subscribers, and these only will be allowed to participate. In our next and successive issues there will appear a coupon, which must be cut out and kept. Every coupon will represent one chance for the
"WINTER PRIZE DRAWING,
so that the person wlw takes in the greatest n umber of papers regularly will have the greatest number of chances. Hitherto it has been necessary to pin four coupons together, but the plan has been found a nuisance, and we think the single chance for the single coupon will be far more popular. The first coupon will appear next week.
