Acceptance, 1 soy. For all beaten horses during the meeting. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Horses to take their age from Ist August. No entry will be received for any of the races except upon this condition : — That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of tho racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. The decisions upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. Any jockey riding except in the colours entered will bo fined three soys. When two or more horses start, belonging to the same owner, a distinguished colour must be worn. The attention of owners is particularly called to this Rule. No entry will be received on any pretence whatever after the hour named, or without being accompanied by the necessary amount in cash. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of Scales, one half hour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this Rule, shall pay a fine, not exceeding 5 soys., to the Race Fund. All entries to bo sealed and addressed to the Secretary, Dargaville, as at foot, entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at time of entry, pedigree, and, in case of handicaps where horsqp have not previously started on the Auckland or Canterbury Courses, performances of the horse, name of the owner, and colour of the rider. Winners to pay 5 per cent, of their gross winnings towards the expenses of the course. All races to be run under the A.R.C. Rules. Qualification fee, one guinea. Stabling for horses free at Dargaville and Maugawhare. Grooms' passages both ways in Kaipara Company's steamers free. DATES OF NOMINATIONS, ENTRIES, ACCEPTANCES, &c. Wednesday, January 19, 1881.— Nominations for Dargaville Cup Handicap, Hurdle Race, Publicans' Purse Handicap, aud Kaipara Handicap. Wednesday, February 16.— Acceptances for Dargaville Cup and Handicap Hurdle Race. Wednesday, February 23.— General Entries and Acceptances.. Entries and Acceptances will be received by the Secretary at Dargaville by telegraph up to 5 p.m. on the advertised dates for receiving same, provided that a letter is posted the same time containing the necessary amount in cash, and in terms of Rules and Programme. All letters should be posted in Auckland not later than 2 p.m. on the advertised dates, to ensure their reaching Dargaville by the Thursday's steamer.
