RACING AT PAEROA.
TO-MORROW’S EVENTS. Prospects Reviewed. POLAND CUP CONTEST. LARGE FIELDS ENGAGED. [By “SOL.”] Good fields are carded for the spring meeting of the Oliinemuri Jockey Club, which opens at Paeroa to-morrow. The track is in excellent order, and some of the best horses in the Auckland district will be matching their prowess in the exciting tussle for the stakes. The win and place system of betting will bo in operation. Following are details of the fields, with a review of the prospects in each race:—• KEREPEEHI HACK HANDICAP, Of £130; 5 furlongs. FIRST DIVISION: Little Ruse 9.0; Maxam 8.7; Ngawiri 8.4; Orwere, Phiakuo 8.2; Poland 8.0; Gold Petal, Tririri, Ruckle, Misora Bronze Step, King Stroud and Sir Robin 7.10. The programme opens with the Kerepeelii Handicap, which will be run in two divisions, of 13 starters in each. In the first division several have shown good form in recent starts, and the public may select: MAXAM NGAWIRI. SECOND DIVISION: Frontino 8.10; British Nation 8.5; Abbess of Whitby Silver Cloud 8.2; Corato t?.0; Hempton, Nithmount, Wild Acre, Silver Lance, Gay Hussar, Forest Lake, Miss Tidal 7.10. The second division will follow immediately, and the popular fancies are likely to be: FRONTINO BRITISH NATION. HANDICAP HURDLES, Of £140; II miles. Tudor 12.7; Impasto 10.10; High Star, Si mint 10.4; Te Monatekapa 9.9; Illimani 9.2; Jan Ridd, liopalong Chikara. Queen Lu, Car Leaf, Ngakaru Air Commodore, Ureklaw, Little Briton 9.0. Avondale form indicates good chances for Simint, High Star and Jan Ridd, all having shaped very creditably in their essays over the battens, while Illiwani is on the improve. liopalong is a possibility. The favourites may bo SIMINT HIGH STAR JAN RIDD. TRIAL HANDICAP, Of £130; 6 fur. Speavford. Allmetic 8.9; Ilesskctoon. King Silver. Son of the Soil 8.7; Nui papa 8.5; Lady Defoo 8.3; Manawahe. Broadway Bill, Gael, Riff Raff, Gold i tion, Bulwark, Forlorn, Kotahi Acre To Pouroa, To Monoplane, Spinning Wheel, Star Vaals 8.0. Recent form suggests a good chanei for Sjtearford. Allmetic, Ilessketoon, King Silver, Goldation and Lady Defoe are all capable of running the distance solidly. Strong support may come for: SPEARFORD HESSKETOON ALLMETIC.
HACK CUP HANDICAP, Of £200; 9 fur. Requiem 9.0; Paddy the Rip 8.13; Forest Acre. Susan 8.12; Ringshot 8.9; Raceliue 8.8; Long Span 8.2; Mio Fratollo 8.1; Valueless 7.7; Tralee Rose, Beverley, Palmint 7.2; Ureklaw 7.0.
Paddy the Rip won two races in convincing fashion at Avondale and should be hard to dispose of. Forest Acre is likely to have a chance, if reserved for this race, while Requiem, Susan, Ringshot, Raceline and Long Span are on the improve. The best supported may be: PADDY THE RIP RACELINE SUSAN.
POLAND CUP HANDICAP, Of £300; 1 mile 3 fur. King Rey 9.7; Round Up, Kona 8.7; Mazir 8.1; Clieval dc Voice 7.10; Gold Vaals 7.6; Shy, General Ruse, Gay Sister 7.0.
King Rey, Mazir and Clieval de Voleo may have benefited by their racing at Avondale, and slight improvement would give Round Up a chance. Kona is very fit and Gold Vaals should make a forward showing. General Ruse lias been working pleasingly. The favourites may be: KEN A GOLD VAALS ROUND UP.
MARAMARUA STEEPLECHASE, Of £160; about 2| miles. St. Musk 11.9; Bells of Bow 10.1; Bifirin.9.9; Hopalong, Mana, Stanstead, Drag Hunt, King Ara, Rebel King Wasp 9.0.
Bells of Bow shaped well at the Pakuranga Hunt meeting last month, and has a chance to make amends for his defeat. St. Musk is a dashing steeplechaser, and his forward condition should bo a factor in his favour. Biform is a "resurrection,” but, being a safe conveyance, he should be capable of a good effort. Rebel

Barrister, Little Artist 7.7. Sergia and Prince Acre are in good order, and Gay Seton should have a chance. Llangollen, Noitaro and Sergia are possibilities. Some who may be in demand are: — SERGIA PRINCE ACRE GAY SETON. NGATEA HACK HANDICAP, Of £140; about 7 furlongs. Alyth 9.7; Pirate King 9.2; Melvanui, Acre 8.9; Jayola 8.4; Advance Acre 8.3; Frontino 7.9; Sing Lee, Mustang. Galloping Acre 7.7. Forest Acre’s good showing at Avondale demonstrated that lie is in good form, and Jayola, a recent winner, is very lit. Frontino, Melvanui, Galloping Acre and Strathire should add interest to the contest. The best supported may be: JAYOLA FOREST ACRE STRATHIRE.
ALYTH SLIGHTLY SORE. The consistent Alyth, who has made steady improvement in the past few months, was slightly sore when working yesterday, and her trainer, Mr. George, said she was unlikely to start at Paeroa. Alyth has two engagements to-morrow, being an acceptor for both the Flying Handicap and the Ngutea Hack Handicap.
