SINGER IN TOUCH WITH LONDON,

SAFETY OF WIFE AND CHILD

[By Telegraph.—Press Association], HAMILTON, Sept. 30. Anxious concerning the welfare of his wife and baby son, who are in London, Mr. Danny Malone, the Irish tenor, who is at present in Hamilton, communicated with his wifo by radiotelephone. Reception was perfect and Mr. and Mrs. Malone had a long con versa tion. Mrs. Malone reassured her husband regarding conditions in England, saying that every precaution was being taken. Everyone was hopeful that a world war would not eventuate. Being very concerned about his wife and child, however, Mr. Malone made arrangements for them to sail for New Zealand at once.
