OBITUARY.

MR. WILL DIAMOND.

The death occurred suddenly last evening of Mr. Will Diamond, who has been residing in Thames for some years. For a long period the late Mr. Diamond was scenic artist -with the J. C. Williamson Company, and travelled all over Australia and New Zealand with the various productions of this company. He painted the scenes of the Para wai racecourse and Auckland harbour which used to adorn the walls of the old Imperial Hotel, and many othe” examples of his work can be seen about the town. Mr. Diamond had been listening to the wireless last evening and went outside, where he collapsed and died immediately. A doctor certified that death was due to heart failure, and no inquest will take place.
