TELEGRAPH BOY BITTEN.
BY DANGEROUS DOG. i OWNER TO PAY COSTS. [By Telegraph.—Pi-ess Association] AUCKLAND, Feb. 15. The owner of a dog, Mrs. Elizabeth Henehan, of tawa Road, Onehunga, was ordered by Mr. C. B. Orr Walker, S.M., iu the Onehunga Police Court yesterday to pay the costs, 28/-, involved in a charge of keeping a dangerous dog. A telegraph message boy, Raymond Midwood, said that as he was riding his bicycle past defendant's house on January 20, the dog rushed out and bit him on the ankle, inflicting wounds which required medical attention.
A constable who examined the injuries said 7 he saw three wounds on the boy's leg. Defendant maintained that the anitrul. which was "half a bulldog," was quite harmless and was used to playing with children and had never before been known to bite anybody.
