THEFTS ADMITTED.
SUMS OF MONEY TAKEN. OFFICES FOR SENTENCE. [By Telegraph.—Press Association J AUCKLAND, Aug. 2. A postman with a long and hitherto unblemished record, Raymond George Kelly, aged 34, pleaded guilty in the Police Court this morning to 25 charges of theft as a postal officer of packets containing a total of £45/9/4. In a statement that the money was spent in paying moneylenders and bookmakers, accused said he kept all the letters from which he had taken the money with the intention of replacing the money as soon as ho was in a, position to do so. On two occasions he had replaced the sums of £1 and delivered the letters.
Kelly was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
