THE REGENT. "Shadow of Doubt," the story of which is laid in New York and deals with society, theatrical and night club life, showing at the Regent Theatre to-night, revolves about the solving of a detective mystery in a new and astounding manner. Ricardo Cortez and Virginia Bruce have the leading roles. Blackmail, mystery, romance and action play thrilling parts in this sophisticated drama. Supporting player* are Frances Drake, Kent Taylor and the New Zealander, Colin Tapley. THE KING'S. "Without Regret," with Elissa Landi and Paul Cavanagh, unfolds the story of a daring murder in London's Mayi'air, and will be screened at the King's Theatre tonight. Though the central theme is mystery drama, it is played in a rich vein of comedy throughout most of the scenes. A lavish musical interlude is an added spectacle. The second feature film, "The Unfinished Symphony," offers unusual entertainment and is based on extracts from the life of Franz Schubert. Hans Jaray and Marta Eggerth are the featured players. Never touched by pathos, the story unrolls smoothly, and woven through it all are many of Schubert's beautiful melodies—the Serenade, passage from Symphony in B minor, and other excerpt from those undying compositions.
