Appointment” Telephone Calls A Service for Busy Men. \ The busy man who wishes to communicate by telephone with someone in another town my indicate, an hour or so beforehand, the desired time for the call, and leave it to the toll operator to arrange the appointment. Both parties then know IN ADVANCE the time at which they will be brought together by telephone. “Appointment” calls save time. They give definite personal touch with the individual named at a prearranged time convenient to both parties. The extra cost is small, ranging from 6d. upwards according to distance.
