Beef Values Easier.

THE WESTFIELD SALE.

(Special to Star).

AUCKLAND, March 20

There was a large yarding of cattle at Westfield to-day and sales of ox beef showed an easing tendency. The quality generally was good and bidding was brisk. Owing to the large yarding ox beef dropped 1/- per 1001 b. There was also a larger entry of cows and heifers but last week's rates in this section were well maintained.'

Top price of the morning for oxen was £9/15/- for a line from Wacrenga.
