NEWS ABOUT PEOPLE. THAMES SOCIAL ITEMS. Mrs. V. Boles is at present on a holiday, at Morrinsvillc. Mrs. C. A. Berry has returned from a visit to Paeroa. Mrs. Payne, of Auckland, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. S. Miller, Parawai. Mrs. Les. Edwards has returned from a visit to Whangarei. Mrs. Harold Ensor, of Matamata, is visiting her parents at Thames. Mrs. N. Law, of Wellington, has recently been the guest of Mrs. G. Hawkins, ParaAvai. Mrs. S. W. Hetherington is at present visiting Auckland. ENGAGEMENTS. The engagement e is announced of Miss Dulcie Griffin, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. Griffin, Rolleston Street, to Mr. Harold Morrison, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Morrison, of Dunedin. The engagement is announced of Miss Ivy Robinson, youngest daughter of Mrs. J. Robinson, of Waiotahi Road, Thames, and the late Mr. J. Robinson, of Kent, England, to Mr. Mervyn Esmond Potter, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Potter, of Netherton.
