THAMES ADVISORY BOARD. CLASSES RE-OPEN MARCH 6. A meeting of th e Thames Technical School Advisory Board Avas held in the school-room last evening,* Present: Messrs J. Pratt (chairman), W. Horrox, J. W. Mitchell (supervisor), and J. A. Briggs (hon. secretary). Messrs J. Galloway, J. H. Battson and J. A. McLeod were granted of absence. The supervisor, manual and technical branch, Auckland, fonvarded a schedule of proposed classes to be held at the Thames centre during
1933. It was decided to hold the folloAving classes: — Book-keeping: Teacher,' Mr V. RoAve; shorthand and typewriting: Teacher, Miss E. M. Wilcox; dressmaking: Teacher, Miss Potterton.
The local supervisor Avas authorised to attend at the school of Wed-
nesday next for the purpose of enrolling students, so as to be in readiness for the classes to re-open on Monday, March 6. The certificates gained at the examinations held in November last will be presented to the isuccessful students as early as possible aftgjr.the re-open-ing of th e classes. Application has been made to the Auckland Board to have the school grounds tarred at an early date.
