UNABLE TO BERTH.

RANGITOTO FROM AUCKLAND

PASSENGERS LANDED BY DINGHY

The sixty-odd passengers who returned by the Rangitoto from Auckland last evening experienced a- pleasant trip, the vessel arriving at tho wharf shortly after 11.15 p.m., some half-hour alter full tide. However, owing to the passage being blocked by mud, the Rangitoto was unable to berth, the passengers being brought ashore by dinghy. It appears as if the time is now overripe for some method to be devised by which the passage may be kept clear for a longer period, following the full tide.
