DESERTERS.
OTA HI FIREMEN LEAVE SHIP,
/A. & N.Z. Cable.) SYDNEY, April 4. Twelve firemen left the Otaki, but as the vessel was over-manned when she left England, this made no difference to her departure. After waiting without avail for the deserters to return, the Otaki sailed for New Zealand. The company states that it will not take action against the men.
