AMUSEMENTS.

QUEEN’S THEATRE. “THE WORLD S APPLAUSE.” One of the finest photoplays seen here for many weeks is “The World’s Applause” a William De Mille production, featuring Bebe Daniels, Kathlyn Williams and LeAvis Stone, which will be screened at the Queen’s Theatre to-night and Monday night. This a delightful picture with a timely theme, produced according to the highest standard. The story _ deals with an actress who has a passion for publicity. She leaves nothing undone to keep herself in the public eye, and her subsequent carreer is blasted by the breath of scandal. “The Four Orphans” featuring Charles Murray, the laugh producer, and a Paramount Magazine. Prices as Usual.

KING’S—TO-NIGHT. JACKIE COOGAN AND JAZZ. Jackie Coogan’s greatest picture, “Daddy” is the chief attraction at the King’s to-night. We are urging all of you to see this picture because A\-e lynow-you are going to enjoy it, so much that you will thank us for tipping you off. We cannot imagine .Jackie making a better picture than this, for it’s got everything that goes to make up perfect entertainment. While ‘Daddy’ is crowded with laughs, it contains episodes of such deep pathos that we are tempted to offer a reward for the man, woman or child who can sit through them without shedding a tear or two. In one particular scene, where Jackie sees his beloved benefactor pass away, the star’s work is so tense and gripping that it is impossible to describe it in words. Don’t miss the treat of the year. A big supporting programme is screening, including tAA’o comedies, scenic and interest films. Another big Jazz dance follows the pictures, and “The King's melody Boys” will play in their usual finished style. Reserved seats Avill not Do held after 8.10. Ring 1.73 after 6-30 for Reserves
