SERIOUS FIRE.

TWO FIREMEN INJURED. (A and N. Z. Cable) SYDNEY October 25. A fire broke out near midnight at John Danks' hardware merchants Pitt street, a couple of streets from the Central Railway Station. The •damage is estimated at over £60,000. Two firemen were injured, one named J. Housten falling through a skylight on the 4th floor to the bottom floor. The flames by one o’clock had •eaten their way from the top floor through the building, the fire fighters being compelled’ to direct all "their energies to preventing the neighbouring buildings in Up congested block from catching fire.
