SAFETY FIRST FOR WOODWORKERS.
Great Britain, being the first industrial country in the modern sense, led the way in drawing up regualtions for the safety of workpeople in factories. The latest series of regulations is a modified code relating to the use of wood-working machinery. In drawing up the new conditions and rules great care has been exercised so as to get the maximum of safety with the minimum of complication and expense. Every detail has been settled in close consulation with representatives of the employers and of the employed. These regulations are imposed by Government authority and enforced by means of inspection by competent Government officials.
