PUBLIC NOTICE. BOROUGH OF THAMES. RATES. Public Notice is hereby given that the Thames Borough Council in pursuance of its powers under “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909,” “The Rating Act, 1908,” and the Amendments thereof, respectively, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf intends at a Special Meeting to be held on THURSDAY, the 22nd day of June, 1922, at 4.35 p.m., to make and levy the following Rates, viz., A. In respect of the Borough of Thames excluding the Suburban Ward for the period of twelve months commencing on the Ist day of April, 1922, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1923. (1) A General Rate of five pence and one-half penny (s£d) in the pound. (2) A Street Lighting Rate of three farthings (§d) in the pound. (3) A Hospital and Charitable AidRate of one penny and two twenty-fifths (1 2-25 d) in the pound. (4) A Sanitation Rate (Collection of Refuse), ,of two-fifths of a penny (2-sd) in the pound. (5) A Library Rate of three-twen-tieths of a penny (3-20 d) in the pound. Upon the rateable value of all rateable property (on the basis of the unimproved value) as appearing on the Valuation Roll for the time being in force in the Borough of Thames. B. In respect of the portion of the Borough of Thames known as the Suburban Ward for the period of twelve months commencing on the Ist day of April, 1922, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1923. (1) A General Rate of fivepence and one-half penny (5-Jd) in the pound. (2) A Street Lighting Rate of three farthings (;]d) in the pound. (3) A Hospital and Charitable Aid Rate of one penny and two-twen-ty-fifths (1 2-25 d) in the pound. (4) A Sanitation Rate (Collection of Refuse) of two-fifths of a penny (2.-sd) ,in the pound. (5) A Library Rate -of three-twen-tieths of a penny (3-20 d) in the pound. Upon the rateable value of all rateable property (on the basis of the unimproved value) as appearing on the valuation Roll for the time being in force in the Suburban Ward of the Borough of Thames. ; WATER RATES. In respect of the Borough of Thames, including that portion known as the Suburban Ward excepting those properties .to which water is supplied direct by the Thames County Council, for the period of twelve months commencing on the Ist day of April, 1922. and ending on the 31st day of March, 1923. In respect of the ordinary supply: — A Water Rate of, (a) One penny and one-fifth of a ... . penny (1 l-sd) in the pound on all lands and dwelling-houses to which water is supplied, but such rate shall not be less than ten shillings. (b) One half of the above mentioned rates on all lands and dwel-ling-houses to which water can be but is not supplied situate within one hundred yards from any part of the waterworks. (c) One-half of the rates mentioned in paragraph “(a)” hereof on all buildings other than dwel-ling-houses. Upon the rateable value of all rateable property ton the basis of the unimproved value) as appearing on the Valuation Rolls for the time being in force in the Borough of Thames including that portion known as the Suburban Ward. REMOVAL OF NIGHT SOIL V SERVICE. In respect of the Borough of Thames, including that portion known as the Suburban Ward, for the period of twelve months ending on the 31st day of March, 1923. On all rateable properties that have a building erected thereon from which the Council is prepared to remove nightsoil. ANNUAL FEE for one pan per fortnight, £1 13s Bd. ANNUAL FEE for two pans per fortnight, £3 Os lOd. ANNUAL FEE for three pans per fortnight, £4 Is Bd. ANNUAL FEE for four pans per fortnight, £5 8s lOd. ANNUAL FEE for five pans per fortnight, £6 16s. ANNUAL FEE for six pans per fortnight, £8 3s 3d. ANNUAL FEE for seven pans per fortnight, £9 10s sd.
