POPLAR’S DEFAULT. IMPRISONED COUNCILLORS RELEASED. • (A. and N.Z. Cable.) (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON, October 12. Tho Poplar Borough councillors filed an affidavit before the Ring’s Bench, disclaiming any wish to treat tho court‘with disrespect,, and also stating that they were anxious to attend a conference to consider tho financial difficulties of the situation, and would spare no efforts to make the conference a success. The Chief Justice released them, expressing the hope that they would not disregard their statutory duties.
