BURGENLAND DISPUTE. CONFERENCE IN VENICE. (A. and N.Z. Cable.) (Received 11.40 a.m.) ROME, October 12. Tho Italian Government, having intervened in the Burgenland dispute, a conference of delegates from Austria and Hungary ’ met! at Venice to adjust the situation. Tho Austrian delegates' stated' that they were( nob authorised to conclude an agreement until the Hungarians evacuated Burgenland, while the Hungarian Premier demanded tho town of Ordenburg as security for the payment of 5,000.000 kronen.
