Capt. Ba,yldon i-eported at length ' upon various -repairs effected dua-inig the month. In reference to the ne-! cessiiby for repairs at the steamer's bea-tih, he asked .thd Board to visit the.-wharf and decide what was best* to be done. Tlie steamer 1 wa*s very , severe on the fender piles, and much stronger pitas were required. The silt was also creeping round the end of' the wharf, and it would now b© lab- ' our in vain to adopt a former sug-' igestion of hHs for dealing with it.
