Eden., Onehunga, amd OtahuEu. Much initenest was centred in the Mt. Eden elections, the .sitting Mayor, Mr Nicholson, being re-elect-ed. . . At Oneilmiigia. a trianguiar contest resulted in the retuirn of Mr J. - J. Boyd 1, wihiJle Mr A. M. McDonald was elected Mayor of Otaihuihu. There were contests for all suburban Borough Council seats except Newanarket, wher«i both the Mayor and councillors had been returned i unopposed. The only Harbour Board contest. was for th« Mt. Eden seat, for which the sitting memiber, Mr W. E. Hut-! ch.ison>, was rettirned. j In the case of the Hospital Boaird five city aeaite wore thie only one« 'contested. For the Hospital Board the successful candidates were Dr. Florence Keller 6344 votes, Mr Nerheny 4743, Mr Knijht 4~162, Mr Mockay 4115, Mr Homing 3720.
