MR. JACKSON PALMER AT TAIRUA.

TAIRUA, Nov. 23. Mr. Jackson Palmer addressed

large gathering of electors, including a number of ladies, in the Upper Landing schoolroom on Wednesday November 22. Mr. J. Livesay (chair man of the School Committee) was voted to the chair.

Mr. Palmer gave a lucid outline of his political principles, which were jr. accord with those of the present Mm istry.

Several questions were asked and satisfactorily answered by the candidate.

On the motion of Mr. John Patton, seconded by Mr. George Morrison, a vote of thanks and confidence was unanimously accorded to Mr. Jackson Palmer for his straightforward and able address.
