Sudden Death in Hape Creek.

THE INQUEST.

The inquest touching the death of the late Mr S. Dennison was held at the residence of Mr R. Thomas, Hill street, yeateir* day afternoon, before the Coroner (Mr A. Bruce) and the following jury :—Messrs D. Dalton, A. Percy, R. Thomes, J. Moran, A.. Graham, and Henry Rabe, of which Mr Dalton was chosen foreman.

Evidence was given by deceased's wife and Dr. Callan. The latter, who made an examination of deceased's body, considered that death was due to syncope, or failure of the heart's action.

The jury returned a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence, men* tioned above.
