At tho S.M. Court this morning; the publisher of tho Press Co. was charged with a breach of the Gaming and Lotr teries Act, by having published in the Weekly Press an advertisement inviting persons to take shares in sweepstakes and lotteries and schemes for distribution of prize money. Mr Fisher, who defended the Press Company, asked for a judicial decision uppn the question as to whether a breach of the Acfc had been committed. The Magistrate reserved bis decision.
