Madrid, May 28. The French steamer, Don Pedro, boundfrom Le Havre to La Plata, struck t on a submerged rock off Vigo, on the ,- coast of Spain, and sank almost im-;h-mediately. Just as the vessel was set- ■ fling down the boilers exploded, killing a large number of those on board. The death-roll numbers 103, made up of 80 passengers and 23 of the crew. The captain and 26 of the crew are the only survivors.
