AN EXPRESSION OF SYMPATHY.
The lady members of the Thames Burns' Club have forwarded the following expression of sympathy to Mr John Miller on the death of his wife, which took place a few days ago. The deceased lady was highly esteemed by a numerous circle of acquaintances :— Thames, May 22nd, 1895.
Mr John Miller., Dear Sir, ' We, the undersigned Lady Members of the Thames Burns' Clnb, do hereby convey our heartfelt sympathy to yourself land family in your recent sorrowful bereavement. We one and nil feel that «ur Club has lost a most sincere member, and we deeply regret her loss. In the worksof our poet we find the following lines, which aie most appropriate to our lost friend: — " Deep this truth impress'd my mind, Thro' all his works abroad, The heart, benovole nfand kind,' The most resembles' God."
And to yourself, dear friend, we apply the following lines from the same author : —
" Dread Omnipotence, alone Can heal the wound he gare, Can point the brimful grief-worn eyes, To scenes beyond the grave." We are, dear sir, . Yours in sympathy, Emma J. M.
