DUNEDlN.—Yesterday. The General Committee recommends the City Council to resist the Government's claim to control the streets, and to bring several test cases before the Court.
At a meeting of Protestant clergymen under the presidency of Dr. Stuart, it was agreed to recommend the adoption of the London Boards plan of religious education in schools.
