Another Scandal in High Life.

London. November 28.
Miss Wiedemann, a German governess, has brought an aotion against Mr Robert Horace Walpole, heir to the earldom of Orford, claiming £10,000 damages for breach of promise of marriage, and libel in accusing her of theft of a ring, Thedefendant denied the libel and pleaded the promise of marriage was not binding, having been made in Turkey. The evidence showed that Walpole became 80----qaiinted wi<h (he plaintiff in Constantinople, and deserted her after Reducing her. A verdict was given for Miss Wiedemano with £700 damages.
