Baron de Worms, replying to Mr Hen-niker-Heaton in the House of Commons, refused to lay on the table the resolution passed, by the New South Walas Legislature relative to the appointments of Governors. They deposed that the Lnnd League had offered rewards of £5<)Q to anyone shoot- j ing a bailiff, and £300 for shooting persons pronounced guilty of paying; rent. Evidence was given that the inner circle of the League bad promoted outrages, and persons refusing to vote for the League's candidates for Parliamentary honors were threatened with death. ! M. Wilson, representative for the district of Itidre et Loire, attended the Chamber of Deputies to-day, whereupon an adjournment was at once made in order to mark disgust at M. Wilson's action in accusing the members of corruption in articles he is contributing to "Le Petit France." It is rumored that M. de Freycinet proposes to invest the Senate with the functions of a Court of Justice, to persons charged with treason.

A Serious Disturbance.

A number of Italian workmen, who bad recently been discharged, created a disturbance at Locbifra to-day. The riot became so furious that the French-troops, who were called out, fired on the mob, killing four and wounding many. A large number of arrests were made.
