Mick's Drinks.
An Irishman went into an hotel-the other day and called for a pint of beer, for which the barman charged him sixpence. While he was sampling the lunch, a Chinaman came in, calling for tha same drink, for which the barman only charged him threepence. 'An' d'ye call that tqaareP' ssid the Irishman, trying to swallow a piece of roll, and talk at the same time. 'Call whkt square?' said the barman, eyeing the Irishman curiously. ' W'hoy; till be aftUur cbar«in' the Chow o'ny threepence, whin ye jist row axed me a sprat.' ' - , 'Certainly,'replied the barman.' Didn't you read that sigo on the wall there which gays, 'All mixed drinks, sixpence ?''■ I ' Oh, well ! ay its a rule a» the bouse till .charge Micks sixpence fbr|dhrifikc, Oi don't suppose you can help it-^gire me another.'
