OHELTAMAR.
(To the Editor of the Evening Stab.) Sib,—" Oheltamar " is very unobariÜble, yet he deserres thanks for his correction of the errors in my last letter. All hare not the advantages attendant upon a classical education, iheref6re must depend largely upon other people's re■earch. •• Oheltamar" is exceedingly bitter, too, in his remarks about a " sect." I wish he had confined the remarks to myself, for I am connected with do sect existing in this locality. Freedom of thought is a great privilege, i I choose to consider the Scriptures from one point of yiew, without bringing in tho arguments of philosophy, and am, perhaps, quite as convinced that my views are correct as those of others who differ from them. Perhaps you have heard the saying, "If you find that your opponent will not be convinced, call him o liar." This is what " Oheltamar'' really has done, and when ft man feels called upon to do this bis case may be considered as lost;, or at least in a very bad state. After the reply to my last letter, I feel compelled to decline acy further discussion with a person who cannot qualify his remarks without descend' ing to use soch unpardonable language. Probably our friend has never studied I. Cor., 13, recently. Thanking you, Mr Editor, for inserting the letter—l am, &c, ' Beta. Thames, 27th Sept., 1887.
