The American War Diorama.
Rainer's Diorama of the American I War was exhibited for the last time at the Academy of Music to a full house. The audience was as appreciative as ever, and Mr Stanley's songs were received I with laughter and applause. At the distribution of gifts Miss Jessie Bird received the tea and coffee service, a boy named Buckley the silver watch, and Miss Mangan the carriage clock. TO'KIGHT. i) .: : : >!< To-night an entirely new Diorama of the late Husso-Turkish War will be pro- , duced, and from the enthusiastic reception
| accorded to it in Auckland and the Southern cities, and the very favourable notices of it by the Press, we anticipate a full house. It opens with a view of the city of Constantinople, which is followed by a succession of views of the most important events of that memorable struggle, including a grand double view of Plevna. Mr Harry Stanley will also sing several of his'war songs, and the orchestra will include in their selections the National music of the several countries engaged in the struggle. Among the prizes to be given away to-night we understand a gentleman's gold watch will be included.
