The manager's weekly report is "aY follows:--"Point Russell section: GoqJT progress is being made in sinking winze. —The reef here is well defined and 2\ feet thick, with good indications for gold, there being a fair show of minerals. Main tunnel has been extended 19 feet this week. For the last 40 feet a large lode has been striking with the tunnel, making it. troublesome to work. This reef is four feet thick, of white crystallized quartz. 218 feet level: In driving west No. 6 reef is 3§ feet thick of low grade stuff, but in the last breaking down the quartz has much improved in appearance. 80 feet level: Good progress is being made in cross-cut. west. This is now in 40 feet and a leader 6 inches thick has come in from south side striking with drive. It will junction with No. 3 reef. The stopes on "All Nations " and No. 2 reefs have much improved, 401bs of picked stone being bagged in the last two days. The general crushing is also showing improvement over the last return. Twenty head of stampers are employed on company's dirt and twenty for tributers.—Robibt Combb."
