The Presbytery yesterday cordially decided on a union with the North. The Rev. Mr Kirkland of Hokitika declined the call for West Taieri.
A lunatic who cut his throat and was put iv the hospital escaped last night, and ran down to the police station naked. He was relodged in the hospital.
The football match comes off on Wednesday.
