General Notices VTEW ZEALAND. GOVEBNMENT LIFE INSURANCE. I—The Government Life Insurance Department issues air desirable fo ms of Policies. The Payment of every Policy is guaranteed by the Colony. Participation in Profits is authorised by" the Legislature to be given to Policy-holders. 2- Premium rates are lower than those »f Pi-irate Companies. 3-No Policy or Medical Feet charged. 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent oi their value, under a specials regulation providing for the continuance iaM, force of every Policy for ihe original amount; £ until the surrender-vilue of the Policy it exhausted in payment of premiums. s—Absolute Security from Loss. —Insurers, after having paid three .full annual premiums, are guaranteed a cash, surrender value ef not Jess than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums; and if for any reason the premiums ere not paid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid* and often much in excess. 6--Thirty days of grace are allowed on all Renewal Premiums. „ 7-Liberal conditions " to travel, ling and reeideuce. B—Policiesprotectedfrom Bankruptcy. —An Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, btnafide on bis own life, is protected from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to a certain amount, which increases with ite duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent of £200; after five years, to £500; after seven years; to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection npplie* only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9—Married women may effect Policies, dispose of the money by will, as if single; and their Policies are protected from the debts of their husbttrds, according to dura* tion.to amounts similar to those stated obore; 10—Settlement Policies —Policies effected for the benefit, of the wife and children of the Insured art" absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided <hnt the premiums are payable during life, or any period not less than seven years.
