The proprietors, Messrs Boyle and Latham, sent 16 tons from surface workings to the Bedford mill, Hape Creek, from which 25 ounces gold were obtained. Operations are now going on with a view to open out on the reef at a lower level, which, if as good as the level already worked, will be. above average returns. /
